Transliteration

mayātha dharmaśāstrajñaḥ kaścitpṛṣṭo dvijottamaḥ | prāyaścittaṃ yathoktaṃ me vada mātṛniṣevaṇāt

Translation

Por isso procurei um brāhmaṇa excelente, versado nos Dharma-śāstras, e perguntei: “Dize-me a expiação (prāyaścitta) correta, conforme ensinada, por ter (sem saber) cometido o ato de aproximar-me de minha mãe.”
