विश्वामित्र उवाच । तस्य तं निश्चयं ज्ञात्वा शस्त्रमादाय निर्मलम् । चकर्ताथ भुजौ तस्य भ्राता भ्रातुश्च निर्घृणः । सोपि च्छिन्नकरो विप्रो व्यथयापि समन्वितः
viśvāmitra uvāca | tasya taṃ niścayaṃ jñātvā śastramādāya nirmalam | cakartātha bhujau tasya bhrātā bhrātuśca nirghṛṇaḥ | sopi cchinnakaro vipro vyathayāpi samanvitaḥ
Viśvāmitra disse: Conhecendo a sua firme resolução, o seu irmão — impiedoso até para com o próprio irmão — pegou numa arma imaculada e cortou-lhe os braços. Aquele brāhmaṇa também, com as mãos decepadas, encheu-se de dor.
