दक्षेणाहं पुरा सृष्टश्चंद्रार्थं कुपितेन च । रोहिणीं सेवमानस्य संत्यक्तान्यासुतस्य च
dakṣeṇāhaṃ purā sṛṣṭaścaṃdrārthaṃ kupitena ca | rohiṇīṃ sevamānasya saṃtyaktānyāsutasya ca
“Há muito tempo fui criado por Dakṣa, em ira, por causa da Lua—pois a Lua servia apenas a Rohiṇī e desprezava as outras filhas.”
