tataste nāgarā bāhyāstāṃ tyaktvā dūrataḥ sthitāḥ | kāṃdiśīkāstato yātā bhakṣyamāṇāstu rākṣasaiḥ | narmadāyāstaṭe puṇye mārkaṇḍāśramasaṃnidhau
Então aqueles Nāgaras exteriores abandonaram aquele lugar e permaneceram ao longe. Dali seguiram para Kāṃdiśī, sendo devorados como presa pelos rākṣasas, até alcançarem a margem sagrada do Narmadā, junto ao āśrama de Mārkaṇḍeya.
