Type: kshetra
Scene: Kāma introduces himself to the king, declaring he is acting under Gaurī’s command; a subtle divine aura or vision of Gaurī appears behind him, indicating higher authority.
Authority is rooted in divine command—Devī’s will is presented as the ultimate sanction behind events.
The verse supports the tīrtha’s māhātmya by showing Devī’s direct involvement in the local sacred history tied to the jalāśaya.
No direct ritual instruction appears; the emphasis is on ājñā (divine command) and its efficacy.
