सूत उवाच । एवं समर्पितं लिंगं तेन तद्धरसंभवम् । सर्वेषां ब्राह्मणेंद्राणां वंशोच्छेदे स्थिते द्विजाः
sūta uvāca | evaṃ samarpitaṃ liṃgaṃ tena taddharasaṃbhavam | sarveṣāṃ brāhmaṇeṃdrāṇāṃ vaṃśocchede sthite dvijāḥ
Sūta disse: “Assim, aquele liṅga—nascido do portador—foi por ele confiado. Ó duas-vezes-nascidos, quando as linhagens de todos esses brāhmaṇas eminentes chegaram ao ponto de se extinguir…”
