Transliteration

bahu putrasya caikā sā sarvalakṣaṇalakṣitā | tasmātkarṇotpalānāma jāyatāṃ dvijasattamāḥ

Translation

«Embora eu tenha muitos filhos, ela só é minha filha, marcada por todos os sinais auspiciosos. Portanto, ó melhores entre os duas-vezes-nascidos, seja o seu nome “Karṇotpalā”.»
