यश्चैतत्छृणुयात्सम्यक्पठेद्वा तस्य चाग्रतः । श्रावयेद्वापि वा विप्राः सर्वपातकनानम् । केदारस्य स पापौघैर्मुच्यते तत्क्षणान्नरः

yaścaitatchṛṇuyātsamyakpaṭhedvā tasya cāgrataḥ | śrāvayedvāpi vā viprāḥ sarvapātakanānam | kedārasya sa pāpaughairmucyate tatkṣaṇānnaraḥ

Quem o ouvir devidamente, ou o ler em voz alta na presença de outrem, ou ainda fizer com que seja ouvido—ó brâmanes—este relato destrói todos os pecados. Essa pessoa é libertada, naquele mesmo instante, de montes de culpas relativas a Kedāra.
