Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 24
श्रीभगवानुवाच । एतद्रूपं मया शक्र कृतं तस्य वधाय वै । अवध्यः सर्वभूतानां यतोन्येषां मया हतः
śrībhagavānuvāca | etadrūpaṃ mayā śakra kṛtaṃ tasya vadhāya vai | avadhyaḥ sarvabhūtānāṃ yatonyeṣāṃ mayā hataḥ
O Senhor Bem-aventurado disse: “Ó Śakra, assumi de fato esta forma para abatê-lo; pois ele era inviolável a todos os seres—por isso foi morto por Mim, e não por outros.”
