ततस्तद्गीतलोभेन सर्वे तत्पुरवासिनः । प्रातरुत्थाय केदारं समागच्छंति कौतुकात् । कस्य चित्त्वथ कालस्य नागौ तौ स्वपुरं प्रति । निन्युर्बलात्समुद्यम्य सर्वलोकस्य पश्यतः
tatastadgītalobhena sarve tatpuravāsinaḥ | prātarutthāya kedāraṃ samāgacchaṃti kautukāt | kasya cittvatha kālasya nāgau tau svapuraṃ prati | ninyurbalātsamudyamya sarvalokasya paśyataḥ
Então, por anseio daquele canto, todos os moradores da cidade se levantaram de madrugada e vieram a Kedāra, cheios de maravilhada curiosidade. Mas, passado algum tempo, aqueles dois nāgas a ergueram à força e a levaram para a sua própria cidade, sob o olhar de todos.
