Transliteration

brāhmaṇā ūcuḥ | niṣparigrahadharmāṇo vānaprasthā vayaṃ dvijāḥ | sadyaḥprakṣālakāḥ kiṃ no rājyena vibhavena ca

Translation

Os brāhmaṇas disseram: “Somos duas-vezes-nascidos, vānaprasthas, firmes no dharma do não-possuir. Purificamo-nos de pronto—que utilidade teríamos de um reino e de esplendor mundano?”
