अंगानां वर्धनादंबा वीरसूत्वे च वीरसूः । शिशोः शुश्रूषणाच्छ्वश्रूर्माता स्यान्माननात्तथा
aṃgānāṃ vardhanādaṃbā vīrasūtve ca vīrasūḥ | śiśoḥ śuśrūṣaṇācchvaśrūrmātā syānmānanāttathā
Ela é chamada Ambā porque nutre e faz crescer os membros da criança; e é chamada Vīrasū porque dá à luz os valentes. Ao servir e cuidar do infante, até a sogra se torna ‘mãe’; do mesmo modo, ao honrar uma mulher, ela se torna mãe em dignidade.
