Transliteration

ekadā sa hi hemaṃte mārge māsi tapodhanaḥ | snātvā tatra mahātīrthe madhyāhne vimalodake

Translation

Certa vez, na estação do inverno, no mês de Mārga (Mārgaśīrṣa), aquele asceta rico em tapas banhou-se ali, no grande tīrtha, ao meio-dia, nas águas puras de Vimalodaka.
