Skanda (contextual attribution within Kāśīkhaṇḍa dialogues)
Tirtha: Kāśī (Viśveśvara-kṣetra)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Śaunaka and other ṛṣis (typical Purāṇic audience frame)
Scene: A vow-observer in Kāśī commissions a small golden icon of Viśveśvara, weighing beyond a stated measure, while priests remove ritual obstacles and prepare the concluding offerings.
A vow becomes spiritually complete through proper offering (dāna) and disciplined completion, even when obstacles arise.
The broader Kāśī-kṣetra setting frames the teaching, though this verse itself focuses on vrata-completion rules rather than a named tīrtha.
The making/offer of a golden pratimā of specified minimum value (exceeding five kṛṣṇalas) as part of vrata observance.
