svadehādanapāyinyau chāyākāṃtī yathā tayā | te dve sakhyāvabhūtāṃhi ratnāvalyā ghaṭodbhava

Sem jamais se afastarem dela—como a sombra e o fulgor—essas duas tornaram-se as íntimas companheiras de Ratnāvalī, ó Nascido do Vaso (Agastya).
