पप्रच्छ दमनं चेति कस्त्वं कस्मादिहागतः । तरुणोपि विरक्तोसि कुतस्तद्वद सत्तम
papraccha damanaṃ ceti kastvaṃ kasmādihāgataḥ | taruṇopi viraktosi kutastadvada sattama
Ele perguntou a Damana: «Quem és tu e de onde vieste aqui? Embora jovem, és desapegado; de onde surgiu isso? Dize-me, ó o melhor dos homens».
