अपमृत्युमृता ये वै चोरविद्युज्जलादिभिः । तेषामिह कृतं श्राद्धं जायते सुगतिप्रदम्
apamṛtyumṛtā ye vai coravidyujjalādibhiḥ | teṣāmiha kṛtaṃ śrāddhaṃ jāyate sugatipradam
Para os que morreram de morte fora do tempo—por ladrões, relâmpago, afogamento e semelhantes—o śrāddha realizado aqui torna-se doador de boa passagem e de destino auspicioso.
