Skanda (deduced for Kāśīkhaṇḍa context)
Tirtha: Kāśī-kṣetra (contextual)
Type: kshetra
Scene: Threefold tableau: a devotee chanting the Name, another listening to a storyteller reciting Hari-kathā, and the same devotee meditating with Viṣṇu’s form vividly inscribed on the inner wall of the mind; a subtle doorway opens to a luminous formless realm.
Devotion through speech (nāma), hearing (kathā), and inner remembrance (smaraṇa) becomes a direct path to liberation.
The verse is situated in Kāśī Khaṇḍa’s teaching environment; it does not directly name a particular Kāśī tirtha.
Practice of nāma-japa, śravaṇa (hearing sacred stories), and dhyāna/smaraṇa (mental inscription of the Lord’s form) is recommended.
