अहो देहोप्यहोंगत्वं यथा पित्रोः पुरो मम । इति निश्चित्य सा बाला विजितेंद्रिय मानसा

aho dehopyahoṃgatvaṃ yathā pitroḥ puro mama | iti niścitya sā bālā vijiteṃdriya mānasā

«Ai, também este corpo! Ai, este estado sem corpo, como antes sucedeu a meus pais!» Assim decidida, a donzela—com os sentidos e a mente dominados—permaneceu firme no voto.
