Transliteration

caitraśuklapratipadaḥ paṃcamīdinapaṃcake | rāvaṇo yudhyamāno 'bhūtpracuro rakṣasāṃ vadhaḥ

Translation

Do primeiro tithi da quinzena luminosa de Caitra até o período de cinco dias que termina no quinto, enquanto Rāvaṇa continuava a combater, deu-se grande mortandade entre os Rākṣasas.
