अवेदविदुषे नैव ब्राह्मणे सर्वविक्रये । मित्रघ्ने च कृतघ्ने च मन्त्रहीने तथैव च
avedaviduṣe naiva brāhmaṇe sarvavikraye | mitraghne ca kṛtaghne ca mantrahīne tathaiva ca
Nem deve ser dada a um brāhmaṇa ignorante do Veda, nem àquele que vende tudo por lucro; nem ao que mata um amigo, nem ao ingrato; nem, do mesmo modo, a quem é desprovido de mantra, inapto à recitação e ao rito védicos.
