प्रेतास्तस्य हि सुप्रीता यावदाभूतसम्प्लवम् । अन्नं वस्त्रं हिरण्यं च यो दद्यादग्रजन्मने

Transliteration

pretāstasya hi suprītā yāvadābhūtasamplavam | annaṃ vastraṃ hiraṇyaṃ ca yo dadyādagrajanmane

Translation

De fato, seus ancestrais falecidos permanecem grandemente satisfeitos até a dissolução cósmica. Aquele que oferece alimento, vestes e ouro a um primogênito (um brāhmana) alcança para eles essa satisfação duradoura.
