Vai até lá com devoção suprema, onde é adorado o Senhor, mestre do mundo; para a destruição do pecado e também como doador de morada no céu.
Mārkaṇḍeya (to Yudhiṣṭhira)
Tirtha: Gautameśvara
Type: kshetra
Listener: Yudhiṣṭhira
Scene: A pilgrim procession moves toward a riverside Śiva shrine; Śiva as Jagadguru is envisioned in subtle theophany above the liṅga, blessing devotees; sin (darkness) dissolves into light.
Bhakti-centered pilgrimage is upheld as a dharmic means to remove sin and attain higher spiritual destinations.
Gautameśvara tīrtha on the Revā (Narmadā), where the Jagadguru (Śiva) is revered.
The prescription is yātrā with ‘paramā bhakti’—going to the tīrtha in a spirit of supreme devotion.
