दानव उवाच । यदि मां नेच्छसे त्वद्य स्वातन्त्र्यं नावलम्बसे । ममापि च तदा हत्या सत्यं च शुभलोचने
dānava uvāca | yadi māṃ necchase tvadya svātantryaṃ nāvalambase | mamāpi ca tadā hatyā satyaṃ ca śubhalocane
Disse o Dānava: «Se hoje não me escolheres e não te apoiares na tua própria autonomia, então também do meu lado haverá morte; isto é a verdade, ó de belos olhos.»
