किमर्थं कम्पते शैलः किमर्थं कम्पते धरा । किमर्थं कम्पते नागो मर्त्यः पातालमेव च । किं वा युगक्षयो देव तन्ममाख्यातुमर्हसि
kimarthaṃ kampate śailaḥ kimarthaṃ kampate dharā | kimarthaṃ kampate nāgo martyaḥ pātālameva ca | kiṃ vā yugakṣayo deva tanmamākhyātumarhasi
«Por que treme a montanha? Por que estremece a terra? Por que se agitam os Nāgas, os mortais e até Pātāla? Ou será, ó Senhor, o fim de uma era? Digna-te revelar-me isto.»
