स्वर्गादागम्य गंगेति यथा ख्याता क्षितौ विभो । तथा दक्षिणगङ्गेति भवेयं त्रिदशेश्वर
svargādāgamya gaṃgeti yathā khyātā kṣitau vibho | tathā dakṣiṇagaṅgeti bhaveyaṃ tridaśeśvara
Assim como ela, descida do céu, é conhecida na terra como «Gaṅgā», ó Senhor; assim também, que eu seja conhecida como «a Gaṅgā do Sul», ó soberano dos deuses.
