तिलसंमिश्रतोयेन तर्पयेत्पितृदेवताः । पिण्डदानेन च पित्ःन् पैण्डरीकफलं लभेत्
tilasaṃmiśratoyena tarpayetpitṛdevatāḥ | piṇḍadānena ca pitḥn paiṇḍarīkaphalaṃ labhet
Com água misturada com gergelim, ofereçam-se as libações (tarpaṇa) às divindades ancestrais; assim os Pitṛs ficam satisfeitos. E, oferecendo piṇḍas aos antepassados, obtém-se o mérito chamado o fruto ‘Paiṇḍarīka’.
