evaṃ snātvā vidhānena brāhmaṇān vedapāragān | pūjayetpṛthivīpāla sarvapāpopaśāntaye
Assim, depois de banhar-se segundo o rito correto, ó governante da terra, deve-se honrar os brāhmaṇas versados nos Vedas, para a completa pacificação de todos os pecados.

Scene: After bathing, pilgrims approach seated Veda-knowing brāhmaṇas under a riverside canopy; offerings of water, flowers, cloth, and food are presented; the king is addressed as exemplar of dharma.
Purification is completed not only by bathing but by supporting sacred learning and its custodians through honour and service.
