ततः प्रोवाच वचनं हृष्टपुष्टो द्विजोत्तमः । वरदोऽस्मि वरं वत्स वृणु यत्तव रोचते
tataḥ provāca vacanaṃ hṛṣṭapuṣṭo dvijottamaḥ | varado'smi varaṃ vatsa vṛṇu yattava rocate
Então o mais excelente dos brāhmaṇas, jubiloso e robusto, proferiu: «Sou doador de dádivas, filho querido; escolhe uma dádiva, aquilo que te agradar.»
