ततो भुक्ते महादेवे सर्वदेवमये शिवे । पुष्पवृष्टिः पपाताशु गगनात्तस्य मूर्धनि । तस्यास्तिक्यं तु संलक्ष्य तुष्टः प्रोवाच शङ्करः
tato bhukte mahādeve sarvadevamaye śive | puṣpavṛṣṭiḥ papātāśu gaganāttasya mūrdhani | tasyāstikyaṃ tu saṃlakṣya tuṣṭaḥ provāca śaṅkaraḥ
Quando Mahādeva—Śiva, em quem todos os deuses estão contidos—tinha comido, uma rápida chuva de flores caiu do céu sobre a cabeça daquele homem. Vendo sua fé inabalável, Śaṅkara, satisfeito, falou.
