Tirtha: Revā (Narmadā)
Type: kshetra
Listener: sages / Revā-māhātmya audience
Scene: A ghat scene where a former drunkard pours out a liquor vessel onto dry ground (renunciation), then bathes; another man who once blocked charity now helps distribute food to pilgrims; a guru figure is honored with flowers; Revā flows steadily as witness.
Dharma is upheld by self-restraint and support of charity; disrespect to the guru and blocking dāna are treated as serious moral failures.
The Revā tīrtha-region (Narmadā) is the setting in which such sinners are later said to find release through divine grace.
Dāna is highlighted: giving to worthy recipients (pātra-dāna) and not obstructing charity.
