न जीवे वञ्चितोऽन्येन प्राणांस्त्यक्ष्ये न संशयः । एतन्मे वद विप्रेन्द्र परं कौतूहलं मम
na jīve vañcito'nyena prāṇāṃstyakṣye na saṃśayaḥ | etanme vada viprendra paraṃ kautūhalaṃ mama
«Eu não continuaria a viver se fosse enganado por outrem; entregaria a própria vida — disso não há dúvida. Dize-me, ó melhor dos brāhmaṇas; meu anseio é profundo.»
