Gaurī’s Entry and the Vision of Śiva
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: liberating
It teaches that apparent separation in divine relationships is only māyā-like appearance; Shiva indicates an underlying, unbroken unity, and that events unfold as līlā for cosmic order, guiding devotees toward steadiness (yoga) and liberation.
The Liṅga signifies the ever-present, unbroken reality of Shiva beyond changing scenes; even when Shiva appears to act within form (saguṇa) for the devas’ work, his essence remains continuous and inseparable—this is what Liṅga-worship contemplates.
Meditate on Shiva’s constant presence through japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), holding the insight that separation is only apparent; this supports inner detachment and steadiness in devotion.
