ब्रह्मोवाच । आकर्ण्य तस्या वचनं वसिष्ठो ब्रह्मवित्तमः । स्वयं च सर्वकृत्यज्ञो नान्यत्किंचन पृष्टवान्

brahmovāca | ākarṇya tasyā vacanaṃ vasiṣṭho brahmavittamaḥ | svayaṃ ca sarvakṛtyajño nānyatkiṃcana pṛṣṭavān

Brahmā disse: Tendo ouvido as palavras dela, Vasiṣṭha—o mais eminente entre os conhecedores de Brahman—sendo ele mesmo versado em todos os deveres e ritos, nada mais lhe perguntou.
