वृषा मतीनां पवते विचक्षणः सोमो अह्नः प्रतरीतोषसो दिवः । क्राणा सिन्धूनां कलशाँ अवीवशदिन्द्रस्य हार्द्याविशन्मनीषिभिः ॥

vṛ́ṣā matīnā́ṃ pavate vi-cakṣaṇáḥ sómo áhnaḥ pratarītóṣáso diváḥ | krāṇā síndhūnāṃ kalaśā́n avīvaśad índrasya hā́rdy ā́viśan manīṣíbhiḥ ||

Como touro forte das inspirações, Soma, de ampla visão, purifica-se, atravessando o dia, as auroras, o céu. Reunindo os rios, ele os impele para as taças; entrando no coração de Indra, vem com os entendimentos iluminados dos ṛṣi.
