घृतेन द्यावापृथिवी अभीवृते घृतश्रिया घृतपृचा घृतावृधा । उर्वी पृथ्वी होतृवूर्ये पुरोहिते ते इद्विप्रा ईळते सुम्नमिष्टये ॥

ghṛténa dyā́vāpṛthivī́ abhī́vr̥te ghṛtaśríyā ghṛtapŕ̥cā ghṛtāvŕ̥dhā | urvī́ pr̥thvī́ hotṛvū́rye puróhite té íd víprā īḷate sumnám iṣṭáye ||

Com ghṛta estão envoltos Céu e Terra — esplêndidos de ghṛta, plenos de ghṛta, aumentados por ghṛta. A vasta Terra, posta à frente como poder sacerdotal para a oferenda, é invocada pelos videntes: eles chamam a graça que consuma o sacrifício.
