Sukta 6.52
किमङ्ग त्वा ब्रह्मणः सोम गोपां किमङ्ग त्वाहुरभिशस्तिपां नः । किमङ्ग नः पश्यसि निद्यमानान्ब्रह्मद्विषे तपुषिं हेतिमस्य ॥
kím aṅgá tvā bráhmaṇaḥ soma gopā́ṃ kím aṅgá tvāhur abhiśastipā́ṃ naḥ | kím aṅgá naḥ páśyasi nidyámānān brahma-dvíṣe tápuṣiṃ hétim asyá ||
Por que, então, te chamam, ó Soma, guardião do brahman? Por que te nomeiam nosso protetor contra a imprecação hostil? Por que nos fitas quando somos censurados — para lançar contra o odiador do brahman a arma ardente da tua força?
