Sukta 6.12

सास्माकेभिरेतरी न शूषैरग्निः ष्टवे दम आ जातवेदाः । द्र्वन्नो वन्वन्क्रत्वा नार्वोस्रः पितेव जारयायि यज्ञैः ॥

sāsmākébhir étarī ná śūṣáir agníḥ ṣṭave dáma ā́ jātávedāḥ | drváṇṇo vanván kratvā́ nā́rvó usrā́ḥ pitā́ iva jārayā́yi yajñáiḥ ||

Com as nossas forças ardentes ele avança como rápido impulsor; Agni, Jātavedas, o Conhecedor dos nascimentos, deve ser hinoado na morada do ser. Impelindo adiante, vencendo pela vontade, como corcel em corrida ele traz as luzes da aurora; como um pai, por nossas oferendas, faz o sacrifício envelhecer até a maturidade.
