Sukta 5.34
न पञ्चभिर्दशभिर्वष्ट्यारभं नासुन्वता सचते पुष्यता चन । जिनाति वेदमुया हन्ति वा धुनिरा देवयुं भजति गोमति व्रजे ॥
ná pañcábhīr daśábhīr vaṣṭy ārabháṃ nā́sūnvatā sacate púṣyatā caná | jinā́ti védam uyā́ hánti vā dhúnir ā́ devayúṃ bhajati gómati vrajé ||
Nem com cinco nem com dez ele se contenta — não deseja um simples agarrar; não se alia aos não-pressionadores (asunvat), nem mesmo aos que prosperam por fora. Vence pelo saber — ou então abate com essa Força impelente; e ao buscador dos deuses (devayú) reparte os rebanhos luminosos no curral, no redil rico em vacas.
