Sukta 1.94
यो विश्वतः सुप्रतीकः सदृङ्ङसि दूरे चित्सन्तळिदिवाति रोचसे । रात्र्याश्चिदन्धो अति देव पश्यस्यग्ने सख्ये मा रिषामा वयं तव ॥
yó viśvátas su-prátīkaḥ sa-dṛ́ṅ asi dūré cít sán taḷíd iva áti rocase | rā́tryāś cid ándho áti deva paśyasy ágne sakhyé mā́ riṣāmā vayáṃ táva ||
Tu, de belo rosto por todos os lados, de visão igual, — mesmo de longe resplandeces além, como o relâmpago. Mesmo através da cega escuridão da noite, ó deus luminoso, tu vês. Ó Agni, em tua amizade, que não nos sobrevenha dano — que estejamos a salvo sob teu poder.
