Sukta 1.77
यो अध्वरेषु शंतम ऋतावा होता तमू नमोभिरा कृणुध्वम् । अग्निर्यद्वेर्मर्ताय देवान्त्स चा बोधाति मनसा यजाति ॥
yo adhvaréṣu śáṃtama ṛtā́vā hótā tám ū́ námo bhir ā́ kṛṇudhvam | agnír yád vér mártāya devā́ntsá cā bódhāti mánasā yajāti ||
Aquele que, nos caminhos do sacrifício, é o mais doador de paz, o Hotṛ que guarda o ṛta — tornai-o vosso com atos de homenagem. Pois quando Agni, em verdade, escolhe e conquista os deuses para o mortal, ele também desperta a consciência e sacrifica com a mente.
