Sukta 1.23

अम्बयो यन्त्यध्वभिर्जामयो अध्वरीयताम् । पृञ्चतीर्मधुना पयः ॥

ambáyo yánty ádhvabhir jāmáyo adhvarīyatā́m | pṛ́ñcatīr mádhunā páyaḥ ||

As Águas-mães seguem pelos caminhos, aparentadas às potências do adhvara; derramam e misturam o leite (páyas) com mel, preparando a oferenda.
