गदामादायसङ्कृद्धोमत्तोराक्षसपुङ्गवः ।हरीन् समभिदुद्रावयुगान्तानगिरिवज्वलन् ।।।।

gadām ādāya saṅkṛddho matto rākṣasapuṅgavaḥ |

harīn samabhidudrāva yugāntānagiriva jvalan ||6.70.54||

Tomando a maça, Matta—o mais eminente entre os rākṣasas—arremeteu contra os macacos em fúria, ardendo como o fogo do fim dos tempos.
