Ó Viṣṇu, para o bem dos mundos nós te designamos: torna-te o filho do rei Daśaratha, o soberano senhor de Ayodhyā.
"O Visnu we pray for the welfare of all the worlds. The sovereign of Ayodhya, king Dasaratha is a righteous, virtuous and generous king equal with rishis in lusture. Pray form into four and incarnate in the of four sons of his three wives, resembling hri (modesty), shree (auspiciousness), kirti (fame).
Dharma is framed as lokasaṅgraha (world-welfare): authority and power are to be directed toward the common good, not private gain.
The gods formally ask Viṣṇu to take birth in Ayodhyā as Daśaratha’s son to address the growing threat to cosmic order.
Daśaratha’s worthiness as a dhārmic king is implied as the proper human setting for a divine descent.
