पञ्चदशः सर्गः — देवकृत-प्रार्थना, रावणवधोपायः, विष्णोः मानुषावतारनियोजनम्
Sarga 15: The Devas’ Petition, the Means to Slay Ravana, and Vishnu’s Commission to Incarnate as Man
ब्रह्मणा च समागम्य तत्र तस्थौ समाहित:। 1तमब्रुवन्सुरास्सर्वे समभिष्टूय सन्नता:।।1.15.17।।
brahmaṇā ca samāgamya tatra tasthau samāhitaḥ |
tam abruvan surāḥ sarve samabhiṣṭūya sannatāḥ ||1.15.17||
Tendo-se encontrado com Brahmā, ali permaneceu sereno e concentrado; então todos os deuses, curvando-se e louvando-o com hinos, dirigiram-se a ele.
"O Visnu! we pray for the welfare of all the worlds. The sovereign of Ayodhya, king Dasaratha is a righteous, virtuous and generous king equal with rishis in lusture. Pray form into four and incarnate in the of four sons of his three wives, resembling hri (modesty), shree (auspiciousness), kirti (fame).
Dharma includes humility and right approach: even powerful beings seek help through reverence, truthful speech, and orderly petition.
In the divine assembly, the gods formally approach Viṣṇu—praising him and preparing to request the removal of the world’s burden.
The gods’ humility and Viṣṇu’s steadiness (samāhita)—calm readiness to hear a righteous cause.
