मन्थराप्रवेशः
Manthara Observes Ayodhya and Incites Kaikeyi

Seja Rāma, seja Bharata, não percebo diferença entre eles. Por isso estou satisfeita de que o rei consagrará Rāma ao reino.
I do not see any distinction between Rama and Bharata as such. I am contented with Rama's consecration in the kingdom.
Dharma in royal succession rests on fairness and the rightful order; Kaikeyī verbally affirms impartiality and acceptance of Rāma’s consecration—an ethical stance that will soon be challenged by conflicting desires.
Kaikeyī tells Mantharā she is content with Rāma’s coronation, claiming she does not prefer Bharata over Rāma.
Impartiality and contentment are asserted as virtues, serving as a baseline against which later actions will be judged.
