Nityā-paṭala-prakaraṇa
The Exposition of the Nityā-paṭala
Narada (teaching in a technical/ritual context; dialogue tradition aligns with Narada instructing sages such as Sanatkumara and others)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It emphasizes that worship is completed not only by offering arghya to the Goddess with the prescribed substances, but also by finishing the rite properly and supporting it with prompt giving (dāna) to secure siddhi (successful fruition).
Bhakti here is expressed as disciplined upacāra—offering reverential arghya to the Devi exactly as taught, invoking the deities correctly, and sealing devotion through immediate generosity, showing sincerity rather than mere ritual display.
It reflects Kalpa (ritual science) in the Vedanga sense: following stated prescriptions (uditaiḥ), correct sequencing of actions (offer → perform devatā-kriyā → give dāna), and using defined ritual items (arghya, āsava, dvayam) for intended results.
