Narration of Dharma
Narada (teaching in a vrata/observance context within Purva Bhaga)
Vrata: Ekādaśī
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It presents Ekādaśī worship as a direct bhakti-oriented means to attain Viṣṇu’s sāyujya (liberating union), emphasizing that sincere observance has far-reaching merit that can elevate one’s lineage as well.
By prescribing a simple, devotional rite—bathing with pañcāmṛta on Ekādaśī—it highlights that loving ritual service to Viṣṇu, performed on sacred tithi, becomes a powerful vehicle for divine grace and liberation.
It implicitly uses calendrical discipline tied to tithi (Ekādaśī), aligning with Jyotiṣa-style timekeeping for vrata performance, and it reflects Kalpa-style ritual procedure through the prescribed snāna with pañcāmṛta.
