FAQs

The verse frames Vishnu’s Vāmana incarnation as a divine intervention that can remove worldly “śrī” (power/fortune) to re-establish dharma and redirect the soul from pride and possession toward surrender to the Lord.

By identifying Vāmana as Vishnu Himself, the verse encourages devotion grounded in recognition of the Lord’s presence even in humble forms; true bhakti accepts the Lord’s will—even when it reduces external prosperity.

No specific Vedāṅga technique is taught directly in this verse; however, it reflects Purāṇic application of dharma-itihāsa narrative as a teaching tool—using story to convey ethical discernment and theology.
