Jyotiṣa-śāstra Saṅgraha: Threefold Division, Gaṇita Methods, Muhūrta, and Planetary Reckoning

Toma-se uma única unidade como base operativa; ao reduzi-la e dividi-la segundo a regra da operação, obtém-se o quadrado dessa quantidade reduzida. Essa mesma unidade é então considerada o rāśi resultante, como ensinaram os sábios.

It underscores that Moksha-dharma is supported by disciplined knowledge (śāstra): even technical rules of measure and calculation are presented as part of an ordered, truth-seeking approach to dharma.
Indirectly: by valuing precise śāstric understanding, it supports the broader Purāṇic principle that devotion is strengthened when one’s practice is guided by correct knowledge rather than confusion or guesswork.
Vedāṅga-style technical vocabulary associated with Jyotiṣa/Gaṇita appears here—terms like rāśi (quantity) and varga (square) indicate a rule-based computational method.
